Message-ID: <1991Jun6.063021.23939@medisg.Stanford.EDU> Organization: Academic Information Resources, Stanford University Date: Thu, 6 Jun 91 06:30:21 GMT Lines: 16 I log into a UNIX SparcStation using my modem with White Knight 11.12. Sometimes, when I load "emacs", my file comes up and immediately tries to do an I-search on the character "^Q". (The keyboard command for an I-search is "^S"). Thus, it appears that something is automatically sending a ^S^Q to emacs. Are these not the handshaking characters? How can I turn them off? I browsed my manual, but I found no solution... Thanks for any and all help, Gregg L. Kasten proteus@medisg.stanford.edu -- _______________________________________________________________________________ | Gregg L.
