  I recently received a freshly new Hayse Smartcom 1200, the problem is it
works perfectly well with any other telephone line but mine. I have a 1+1 line
(I don't know exactly what it means, I would apreciate an explanation) which
works excalently with my friend's modem, but not with mine.

  I tried changing the dipswitches, but with no success. I wonder if there is
anything I could do other than buying a new one.

  The funniest thing is that I succeeded in recieving a call from another modem
but I can't originate a connection.

  Please answer using email because I don't read this newsgroup regulary.
