method suggested to me is to ftp them to UNIX and then use cat
(catenate??) to create a new file.  Is there anyway that I can do this
directly from the Mac?
The files are 3 bands from a remote sensed image and are each about
5 meg.  Thanks for your help.  Jed Wright.
