Keywords: system 7 Message-ID: <1991Jun7.145125.14031@fwi.uva.nl> Date: 7 Jun 91 14:51:25 GMT Sender: news@fwi.uva.nl Organization: FWI, University of Amsterdam Lines: 25 Nntp-Posting-Host: gene.fwi.uva.nl I have for some weeks now system 7 parallel to system 6.0.5 on my harddisc. I have to keep the old system for only two reasons now: The hard disc partitioner I use (SUM partitioner) does not work with system 7. The partitions mount alright, but if you have the partition DA in the system folder, all the other DA's exit with error code '-97' Anyone knows why this is happening? Does anyone know of an upgrade for SUM partition. I am using version 2.0 at the moment. If someone knows of a better (public domain/shareware?) partitioner I am willing to take the risk. My second question: I am using the DA 'BinHQX' to de binhex the files from c.b.m., this also doesn't work with system 7! So every time there is something nice on comp.binaries.mac, I have to switch back to system 6 to de-binhex it. :-( Of course I am NOT going back to the good old days of concatenating all the loose files in a text editor and use the program 'BinHex' to do the job. I have better things to do. Like thinking of nice icons to go with all the folders on my Mac :) Axel -- Strike a pose... There's nothing to it.
