I'm not sure if this will work or not, but there is a DA called Asynchronous
Appletalk (available on sumex-aim.stanford.edu) that will allow users to
establish an Appletalk connection via a modem (on the printer port, I think). 
I have no idea if this will work or not because I don't know of anyone else
who has a modem and System 7.0, but it's worth trying.
