But I recently added a couple more. They don't work. That is, they don't until I 'source .cshrc' after every login. Then they are fine. These are NOT the last ones in the alias list - rather they are in the middle. Here's what I've tried so far: Put single or double quotes around command move all alia to the '.alias' file. Add 'source .alias' command to end of .cshrc These "fixes" don't change things. I still need a separate, explicit, source command before these few are recognized. What am I overlooking? alias a alias a al "alias | more" { } a c clear a ns "nslookup" a more "less -c" { } nslookup is one of the problem children.
