Thank you for all who responded to my questions about this problem.

Here's the answer:

	Downloaded AUXIL.SYS from cica.cica.indiana.edu

	Put in CONFIG.SYS as device=auxil.sys/c

	All AUX activity goes to an extra 8514 monitor attached to my system.
	I am running in debug mode.
