Subject: unmapping window in Xtoolkit

I cannot seem to get XtUnmapWidget to unmap
any widgets.  I've also tried to unrealize and
destroy them also. They freeze on the screen, but
will not disappear.  Anybody have any idea where
I am going wrong?
