I'm interested in an X server for an IBM-PC clone talking >to VMS DECwindows at the moment. If the X server will talk to other >kinds of systems, that's okay, but it HAS to be able to work with VMS >DECwindows. If you have TCP/IP (such as Ultrix Connection - UCX, etc.) products installed on the VAX/VMS, you should have no problem in using any X server running on PC with TCP/IP support, eg. Graphics/GSS, PC-Xview, PC-Xsight, etc. You should use the following commands to redirect output to your X-server: set display/creat/node=/transport=tcpip If you want DECnet transport, then your only choice may be DEC's PCSA, PC DECwindows is a X11R3 implementation and it supports DECnet. Quality is quite good, and it is a perfect match to VMS (in my opinion). Stephen Wong. cs727713@hkpcc.hkp.hk
