I think there >is some significance to that. Yes - the conclusion you can draw is that the USMC pilots were better than the USAF pilots. The aircraft makes minimal difference. Remember the Red Flag exercise where RAF Jaguars (single seat ground attack aircraft with no fighter pretensions) shot down USAF F-15s? The pilot and his training count far more than the high tech whizz-bang he's strapped into. Adam
