Lines: 14 Hi, I have recently started working on image data compression. I came across the terms decimation and interpolation as pre-processing and post-processing in image compression. Could someone provide a brief explanation to these terms? Pointers to relevant references are much welcome. Also, is decimation the same as sub-sampling? By the way, does anyone know of a JPEG tram?
