Message-ID: <1367@cthulhuControl.COM> Date: 12 Jun 91 19:51:18 GMT Organization: Control Technology Corp., Hopkinton MA Lines: 14 In researching a solution to one of our needs, I have found that Faxen for our systems, (SunSparc), tend to be VERY 'spensive. It occurs to me that a FAX with a serial port on it, and a simple protocol to dial and dump a file, &c. would be a very useful tool. Does such a beast exist? If not, is there simple/good/usable softs to do this kind of thing on a PC or a MAC? Ie: a PC/MAC with a FAX board and a rs232 port, grab the file from the port and send it via FAX? Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. /rr -- "I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti." -Lector
