Does anybody have comments on quality relative price etc. I'm particularly interested in those with MNP4/5 and/or v42bis. THose I have seen are: 1. Hayes Pocket Edition. $179 (June BYTE 1991, p266). 2400 baud, no MNP or FAX (despite a misleading advert. Ambigious as to whether it is powered from the serial port or the phone line. 2. Stowaway Vocal. $295. 2400 -- does appear to have MNP or v42bis (p308). Line powered. 3. Tech Power (a Taiwanese OEM) TP 96/24 SR. No price given. (International section of BYTE). FAX, MNP and v42bis. Larger than the others (5" long). Internal 9v battery. 4. Worldport modems. Internal 9v battery. Availible in 1200, 2400 and MNP, FAX versions. Kevin
