I've heard there are some good brewpubs in the area, and was hoping for recommendations. It would be a nice change from wine tasting! Any recommendations? I know of two in the area: Anderson Valley Brewing in Boonville Mendocino Brewing Company in Hopland Anderson Valley is a sunny roomy restaraunt type of brewpub. I liked their stout a lot, and loved a special brew they have at the moment, Extra Special Bitter. The Mendocino Brewing Company is a darker bar-like place; they had a band the evening I was their. Their Red Tail ale is quite good. g. -- George Hartzell voice: (415) 725-7421 Stanford Yeast Genome Project fax: (415)-723-7016 Stanford School of Medicine, Rm S337 email: hartzell@sumex-aim.Stanford.EDU Stanford, CA 94305-5120
