[Long description of adding a program item in Program Manager deleted]

A more intuitive approach is:

Start file manager, find the executable file (PBRUSH.EXE in this case).
Arrange your screen things so that both the File Manager and the
Program Manager windows are visible.
Move the mouse cursor to the file in File Manager.  Depress the left
mouse button.  While holding it down, move the mouse cursor to the
Program Manager window.  Release the button.
