Tandy sold (sells) the Bernoulli boxes and had an adapter for the PC machines and Xenix drivers. I know this isn't the same as hooking to the Adaptec, but at least you can use the drives. The Tandy drivers do work with Xenix 2.3.3GT(UFM).
