Is there a PD software that can give you which files are on the bad block(s), or in other words, a program that can scan all the files on the disk and tell you which of them is in "good condition" and which one is not? Now my main question, since I have some of the files unreadable, my shell fails to let me repeat the previous commands by hitting the cursor keys. When I do that, nothing appears at all. Do you know which file is responsible for giving me such feature? I tried to erase and recopy all files in the s directory, but it's no good. Also, can anyone tell me what those files (such as SPAT, DPAT, Shell-Startup, etc) are for? Thanks alot for your help. -Nik. -- afgafhabvnzerwthjwnmberthgjhjnhjknyprtewjhgjklnbaeurgepwrwytiwhjs fjdkshgjetuwyut THISisMYsignatureFILE!soWHAT? wehudgfhjhdfghjhdgl ruetowyuiwehgjdfksgbnvcjkblhjgphuipuhgjlhjbhjdfhgyuetrhghfgdhwqvc nnn@po.CWRU.Edu rteuwthjhjdghbnvmcweqtqpjghdj niknorrosdinikmahdi
