Background: Our department has an Apollo Domain 2500 workstation with 4MB ram, 1 5.25" floppy, 1 tape drive and a 200MB winchester. We are running SR 10.2 with the floppy patch PSKB. We are using Sys V. Questions: 1) The floppy drive can invol a disk and read and write MS-DOS disks with DPCE but the operating system will not allow me to mount a floppy. If I try to mount the floppy, an OS error comes up saying that it is unable to mount to a directory. What am I doing wrong? 2) When I physically shutdown the node (pull the plug), upon return, the PSKB patch is no longer effective and I have to reinstall the patch. 3) Is there any way to redirect the monochrome output of DPCE to a stream? 4) Is there any way to speed up DPCE? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Alex Srinivasan Dept. of Electrical Engineering University of Alberta Email: sriniv@ee.ualberta.ca Phone: (403) 492 5421 FAX: (403) 492 1811
