It really is useless to have a great digitzed picture in 320 mode when you can't use it with a desktop publishing program or AppleWorks GS. Couldn't AppleWorks GS or other 640 mode programs be modified to use 320 mode graphics? I know El Kassir's Color Plus programs mixes 640 and 320 mode, so couldn't AppleWorks GS use 320 mode for pictures and 640 mode for fonts, line art, and text? Something's got to be done, because right now graphics can't be used with the Apple IIGS in desktop publishing without an amateurish look. Higher resolution might help, but we need Apple's cooperation here. Has anyone heard about the program Second Chance, which was advertised in Nibble, promising to convert 320 mode grey scale pictures to 640 mode with no detail loss? I wonder if it does a decent job.
