One of the primary problems you are going to see is that virtually all of our SCSI devices are SCSI 2 compatible. This means that they can do things like make requests to run synchronous which the MAC SCSI implementation probably won't cope with (ask your Apple folks). If I recall correctly, Apple started with a working version of the SCSI protocol that was previous to any defined interface. If my memory serves (and it may be off a little, please check with your local Apple folks) there are specific SCSI devices for Apple SCSI. >> I have tried the straight forward plug it in and hope approach. There are SCSI guides available on gatekeeper in /pub/TriAdd if you want to grab them on anonymous ftp. -- >> Rob Burrowes rob@cs.aukuni.ac.nz. >> System Admin Computer Science Dept., Auckland University, Private Bag, >> Auckland, New Zealand Thanx, AJ ********************************************************************** * AJ Casamento "The question is not whether or * * Digital's TRI/ADD Program not the opinions are mine; but * * 100 Hamilton Ave. UCO1-B rather, which of my personalities * * Palo Alto, CA 94301-1616 do they belong to?" * * 415.853.6744 * * ajc@decwrl.dec.com * **********************************************************************
