This does not make sense. You get this error and can boot up on the floppy?
Also where did you get the floppy cable. The older Vectras used a
different floppy cable than the current models. One sympton of the
wrong cable is you cannot boot up on the A: drive. Are the jumpers
of the floppy drive correct?
