Keywords: read error Message-ID: Date: 12 Jun 91 16:26:29 GMT Organization: Athabasca University Lines: 25 Hi all, I've run into a bit of a problem with my floppy drives. Some background: I'm using an Exceltronix BEST 386-33/0 with 8Mb motherboard RAM and a Future Domain SCSI hd controller. I haven't been able to find the floppy controller so I have assumed that it is built into the Future Domain hd controller. I have been getting reproducable read failure on both A: (1.2 Mb 5 1/2") and B: (1.44 Mb 3 1/2 ") drives. This always happens when I use QEMM386. I've tired Excluding every possible high memory address that I can to no avail. Is there some way that I can track down where the floppy bios is hidden to see what section of memory is accessed when a floppy read is initiated. E-mail is preferable so as not to clog the net with a trivial bit of info. Kevin -- Kevin "autark" Crocker (Athabasca University) kevinc@cs.AthabascaU.CA -or- risk@cs.AthabascaU.CA
