There is already a mailing list maintained by the folks at Apple/Cambridge, but some of us think it would be better to have a newsgroup. The discussion is taking place on news.groups. The proposed name for the newsgroup was comp.lang.lisp.mcl, but during the discussion, several people have suggested that it should be one of: comp.sys.mac.lisp comp.sys.mac.programmer.lisp comp.sys.mac.programer.mcl Andrew Shalit at Apple/Cambridge suggested that we post a message to comp.sys.mac and comp.sys.mac.programmer to solicit opinions. Since I posted the inital RFD, I thought I might as well do it. Please mail your responses to me (in addition to posting it, if you like); I'll summarize the reponses. The choice of name doesn't seem to be an important issue in the mailing-list-versus-newsgroup discussion, so I don't want to postpone the Call For Votes over this point, but I would like your comments on the choice of name.
