I am about to start writing my dissertation and I am wondering about the
availability of TeX and LaTeX on a Mac. I have heard of OzTex and TeXtures.

1. How can one obtain these packages?

2. How to they compare to their Unix counterparts? Are they reliable?

3. What editor/word processors might be used to generate files?

4. Are they compatible with 6.0.7? 7.0?
