I thought entropy would take care of that... Lines: 22 In-reply-to: john@newave.UUCP's message of 11 Jun 91 02:43:11 GMT I bought UltraPaint based on experience with Canvas. UP has a respectable subset of the features of Canvas 2, and a cleaner interface (IMHO). I use it mostly for simple illustration work a User Group newsletter that I edit, and for playing around. I am very pleased with the program. I am not very pleased with the manual. It is incomplete, occasionally incorrect, filled with typographical errors (from a company that sells a spelling checker!), and to top it off, it came as a several bunches of shrink wrapped pages and instructions on how to assemble them into a manual! Nice slip cover 'though... I ran UP on an SE under 6.0.7 MultiFinder in a 1.5Meg partiton and the performance was quite acceptable. I just upgraded to System 7, performance seems unchanged except that I needed to reduce the size of the partition due to the vast increase in System size. /s -- Alexander Erskine Wise /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ Software Development Laboratory /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ WISE@CS.UMASS.EDU /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ \/\/\ This situation calls for large amounts of unadulterated CHOCOLATE! /\/\/\
