I think this is definitely the place for MSW's "table" function, placing parallel sentences in cells side by side. This would allow readers to read the whole article in the chosen language, yet compare sentences in both languages. Any attempts to create merged documents should keep an important facet in mind: try not to interfere with the users' ability to read and comprehend the material -- that is why you wrote it, isn't it?
