When B reaches a critical level, A is set to 1. I want A, now, to *keep* this value until C (which is now increasing) reaches a critical level, irrespective of the value of B (which is now decreasing). The problem at present is that as soon as A has been set to 1, B falls below the critical value, causing A to switch back to 0.
