Subject: system7.0-the missing folders

I installed 7.0 on my mac+ at home two weeks ago.  The
install went fine and everything worked fine until a
few days ago when I started the machine and all the files
except the system folder had disappeared!  The "find"
function could make them show up individualy, but when
I tried to find another folder, the first one would
disappear again.  When I tried to drag a "found" folder
to the desktop I got an "error -127" message, then the file
would appear on the desktop anyway, except for word4.0.
Also, all of my macwrite files suddenly forgot they were
macwrite files and wouldn't start up when I double clicked.
Fixed that by loading a fresh copy of the app. into a new
folder.  But now, versatermPro shows up with the MacWrite Icon!!
Seems to work fine though.....
Any ideas?
