If you have "Use Physical Icon" enabled, the Finder will use an icon of the physical location of the floppy instead of the usual floppy icon. The icon that is shown is similar to the one that is displayed when you format a disk. I.e., it is a picture of your particular Mac with a little arrow pointing to the drive.
