I got the following info from Canon-NeXT in Japan regarding
Japanese version of NeXT OS 2.1J.

I am very much pleased that Canon/NeXT has priced the Japanese OS
at a reasonable level.  Although 60,000 yen is still a lot of
money ($430 at current exchange rate), it is a great buy for
what you get. [If you have any doubt, check out the price for
LaserWriter NTX-J.]

WHEN:
NeXT OS 2.1J is currently scheduled to start shipping in early July.

PRICE:
Y60,000 (Magneto-Optical Disk, Manuals)  This includes two
       Kanji PS fonts.

TERMS:
Pre-paid via fund transfer into Canon's account at Fuji Bank.
(No credit card orders, apparently)
