When we got our first SGI machines several years ago, some of the
users complained that the screens weren't very sharp.  I noticed it,
but tried to ignore it.  (I also started working in a half dark office
to maximize contrast).

The last few PI's we have gotten have new monitors that are wonderful.
The contrast and brightness seem an order of magnitude better.  I can
actually work in a lighted office now.

I realize that this is a totally unreasonable request, but I'll throw
it out anyway....

Wouldn't it be great if SGI would let us upgrade our old monitors?
Maybe just letting us purchase the new type monitor at SGI cost?

What do you say SGI'ers, has anybody else been complaining about the
monitors?
