Pardon me if this is a FAQ, or in the wrong group.  I don't normally
subscibe here (although I'll watch for answers to my query, though I'd
rather receive email).  POSTING FOR A FRIEND (actually, for our Dept's
computer manager).

Can anyone recommend an uninterruptable power supply that will, upon power
failure, shut down in an orderly way a Sun Sparc workstation 2?  What is
wanted is protection against, for example, weekend or long outages which
will exceed the battery life of the power supply, and therefore will
perform an orderly shutdown instead of *&$#@)powerout*&%#crash!.
