In other words, we would love to find an application that allows the specification of plain text, with the ability to specify some simple formatting things like font characteristics (e.g., fixed/variable width, size), line formatting (fill/no fill, centering, left/right flush). Ideally, documents using the application would be very simple to parse & process: i.e., use the reference concrete syntax only (or is the core syntax even simpler?) & not require any complicated processing to determine the style at a point in the document (no complicated styule sheet inheritance, e.g.). Any one know of any appropriate applications? Jonathan Rosenberg
