Yet IBM has always said to apply the fix (which meant simply copying a file) and rebotting the machine to that somewhere in a .rc script the file would get read/executed. My gripe is that I cannot afford to take down systems (especially in a distributed environment w/YP, NFS, NCS, as well as my own distributed applications) just to get the file re-read.
