Unlike most of the DEC SCSI drives, you will notice that it doesn't have the flag 'SCSI_TRYSYNC'. If you put that in there and rebuild your kernel you should be just fine. What we did was to actually define all of our 3rd party drives (CDC Wren 5, 6 & 7) when we got them.
