Hmmm.  

We just picked up the II XL 105.  Installed it right out of the 
box on DOS 5.0 (which we picked up at the same time).  No problem.
In DOS or in Windows.

I don't know if it's the XL line or DOS 5 or the 286 (we have a 
386).
