Message-ID: <1991Jun15.172223.14572@eng.umd.edu> Date: 15 Jun 91 17:22:23 GMT Sender: news@eng.umd.edu (C-News) Organization: College of Engineering, Maryversity of Uniland, College Park Lines: 24 IS TIGA (Texas Instruments Graphic Adapter) a high level specification which is the same regardless of the manufacturer of the video board? The question comes up because I am contemplating purchasing one of the new TIGA boards, and I am wondering whether the software drivers which will be needed are compatible across the range of different manufacturers' products (as with say, IBM VGA), or whether they are all different. Also, I heard that Microsft may be providing a generic TIGA driver with Windows 3.1. Can anyone comment affirmatively on this? If someone would write a reply to this posting which includes a general description of their knowledge and experience with a TIGA board, I'm sure I wouldn't be the only person who would appreciate it. Thanks. Robert
