we are using a shared X and are considering how to have a sort of
virtual & shared window manager to sit a level above all the local window
managers (distributed, to avoid overheads of hitting a central
system)...

2 questions
1.  we have the icccm document, but are trying to find the 'other half'  
on Window & Session manager Conventions...is this (or equivalent)
available?

2. has anyone else written a window manager to control shared windows
(e.g. using focus for floor control)?
we'd be interested in feedback...
