After months of nibbling my nails down to my elbows, I've managed to land a job (well, a second post-doc, really, but I'm in no position to be picky). It's in what I understand to be a lovely town: Seattle. Can anybody point me to good birding locations there, especially for shorebirds, but really for anything? It would appear to have a very broad mixture of habitats within a few tens of miles, which ought to produce pretty high diversity. Comments and suggestions welcome, but I'm moving out in two weeks. Thanks! Josh Hayes, Very Briefly Post-doc in Zoology, Miami of Ohio jahayes@miavx1.acs.muohio.edu
