Can anyone tell me which chips they like best and why? I like the Asihi Kasei(Japan) AK9201 - 10 us conversion time (so you can sample a stereo signal at 44.1 khz with time to spare) - mates well with a Burr Brown PCM56 at the D/A end . Both chips are serial at the digital end , so are ideal for loading into 1M*1 DRAMS for delays , effects etc. Downmarket a little is the Philips TDA1534,1535,1541 chipset (A/D,S/H,D/A) - cheader , but only good for 14 bit resolution at the A/D end - the D/A is found in many CD players. Let me know what others have to say on the subject , as I'm doing digitising stuff as well (Audio) - cheers , md.
