Well its a while since I wore dog tags so I'm going from memory.As far
as British army dog tags go,they definately contain the following
information.Name rank and number,also i think they also had our blood
group and religion.Our dog tags were basically a piece of string with
two metal disks on the end,if you got killed one was removed for
documentation and the other was tied around your anckle.
