What is the normal armour thickness on armoured vehicles, mainly front and sides. A few examples would help. There's been so much on armour penetration like 660mm it seems hard to imagine frontal armour on a tank that is more than half a meter thick. Other than reactive armour is this armour just steel or is it made in layers in some kinda special way.
