It's interesting to note that such forms of dress (i.e. in many arabic cultures) are based on a myth of limitless male virility and nonexistent male self control. Basically, the claim is that males of these cultures are so 'potent' that they can't control themselves if they see even a little female flesh. This, of course, says little for the males - IMWO (in my westernized opinion).
