In regard to the problem of telneting into a PC:  don't limit yourself to
TCP/IP solutions.  It is possible to log into a PC and execute commands
there without using telnet.  I don't have any particular package in mind,
but I know it can be done!  Most bulletinboard software permits this.  I seem
to recall also a commercial package called something like PC Anywhere.
