A pretty strong statement for someone who claims they didn't intend their message as a flame. Most programmers probably just use DOS calls to collect user input. I never thought about wether I wanted 7 or 8 bit characters as input in my programs. Of course my customers are 98% American, so I suppose I don't care one way or the other if Finnish folks can't type in text in their native gibberish.
