Note - I do not mean an RCS interface - I am familiar with several of these (I use Brian Marick's config package to get SCCS as well as RCS under the same roof, myself). I mean a mode that allows various editing operations to be performed on the RCS file. Like dired or monkey mode - except that, instead of marking a file to be deleted, you would be marking a revision to be outdated. Similarly, adding/removing/changing symbolic names, states, text, etc. (I'd really like to be able to edit a revision message, but I don't think RCS allows that). Going further, it would be nice if the RCS mode could give you an overview of an entire software system - not just a single RCS file, but all of the RCS files in a directory tree.
