Sorry about the cross-posting, I need an answer! :-) We have a Calcomp Plotmaster model 5902ae thermal wax-transfer colour/bw printer that we would dearly like to connect to a MacIIcx, to print color PICT files. The printer has serial and parallel (Centronics) input ports, and supports both CMY (ie, 3-color, rather than CMYK), and Black ribbons. Can anybody tell me if there exists a company that supplies cables and printer drivers to connect these two together, ala the HP Paintjet? Alternatively, has anyone written a program to convert between PICT or colour EPS and the native Calcomp Raster format, to run on a Mac or VAX? Thanks, Simon. Please email replies to S.J.Blake@massey.ac.nz, I will summarise if interest requires. -- As I make my way once again around the world`s girth, this time on paper, I trust my readers will skirt the obstacle of details that have since altered and offer me a ride on their imaginations -- John Krich, 1984 Simon Blake, postgrad student at Massey University, NZ S.J.Blake@massey.ac.nz
