Please do forward all replies to him, his e-mail address being: vgj@ee.umr.edu --Thanx Jyothi --------------------------------------------------------------- This posting is regarding problems faced with VEM - the graphics editor for OCT designs. We have installed OCTTOOLS on the SOLBOURNE, which runs on a sparc platform. The monitors that we use are the CONSOLE and the NCD 17c color x-terminal. I am faced with some problems when bringing up the "layers:physical" palette while doing physical editing in VEM. The colors associated with the layers corresponding to POLY, MET1 and MET2 are not displayed in the palette. But while running VEM remotely from a DEC (DECstation 5000/200) platform all the colors corresponding to the layers (i.e including POLY, MET1 and MET2) are visible. Moreover, when trying to view a leaf cell on the SOLBOURNE which was built while on the DEC platform, some of the POLY and MET1 layers show up after they have been zoomed down. It seems to me as a problem with the colormap. I tried to search for information from the various files but to no avail. I would greatly appreciate any help in any direction which would help me solve this problem. Thanks, --vinod Please send replies to: vgj@ee.umr.edu
