folks,

  may i remind old and new readers about the paragraph in the FAQ that
  reads:

	When someone posts a frequently-asked question, I will mail them a
	copy of this posting, and point out that the answer is there to ensure
	that everybody gets their question answered, and to reduce redundant
	answers.

  [to reduce traffic still further, i will in the future actually
  just point out that their answer is in the faq.]

  so please become at least familiar with the questions in the faq so
  you know which questions are already covered in the document.
