An interesting research prototype is "IMPACT", an authoring system for motion pictures that lets you browse through and edit the various scenes and cuts of a single motion picture. A good reference is: "IMPACT: An Interactive Natural Motion Picture Dedicated Multimedia Authoring System," by Hirotada Ueda et al., ACM CHI '91 Proceedings, 27 April - 2 May 1991. IMPACT appears to be a single user system. -- Steven Litvintchouk MITRE Corporation Burlington Road Bedford, MA 01730 Fone: (617)271-7753 ARPA: sdl@mitre-bedford.arpa UUCP: ...{att,decvax,genrad,ll-xn,philabs,utzoo}!linus!sdl "Those who will be able to conquer software will be able to conquer the world." -- Tadahiro Sekimoto, president, NEC Corp.
